CHARACTER

✧ NAME: Crowley (Fergus McLeod)
✧ SERIES: Supernatural
✧ HISTORY: Dun dun dun.
✧ TIMELINE: Post 6x22; teleported out, landed in ilpromenade.
✧ PERSONALITY: How does the saying go? "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." If I followed this -- this section would be blank.

Crowley has very few (basically none) redeeming characteristics. He's not a nice guy, he's egotistical, vain, slightly sadistic, and would throw a friend under the bus to get anywhere in life (or maybe just for a glass of Craig). We'll just say -- he's not a nice guy and uses even the positive characteristics (from his charm and wit) to do what he does best in screwing people over and getting what he wants. Everything he does is for his own benefit and survival, even making deals with angels or people he probably shouldn't.

In life, he was a tailor that made a deal with a crossroads demon to gain three inches below the belt. Even now, as a demon, he cares about how he dresses and his own appearance to others. He throws a fit when he finds out that some of the demons that worked for Lucifer killed his tailor of all people. Did I mention he has an ego? Yes, a big one, too. He thinks highly of himself when he interacts with others. He talks big. Some of that is just talk, though.

He also does everything exclusively for himself. When he first meets up with the Winchesters and presents them with the Colt, they express concern in allowing him to assist them. He simply states that he is doing it because he enjoys earth and he enjoys living and would rather not see Lucifer take the place down. He wants to keep on living and is sure that the demons would be next on the list to be exterminated. He puts himself on a major wanted list among demons, unwittingly, and becomes hunted. He keeps going and is protecting himself by assisting the Winchesters. So even if it appears that he might be doing it for the good of things and saving the world -- he's really doing it to keep himself alive.

Crowley is clever, charming, and quick on his feet. It comes from him being a crossroads demon. He's a salesman, and he uses these to obtain whatever it is he wants to obtain at the time (souls, a good drink, what-have-you). He convinces Castiel to work with him in the idea to share the souls in Purgatory (he could likely be credited to having caused Castiel's evolution into what he is at the end season 6). He wouldn't be known as the king of crossroads if he didn't have a bit of charm and wit that made him able to close a deal successfully. Several times throughout the series, he quickly comes up with solutions to the problems. Whether it be hopping into a nest of demons to spread rumors about a demon they're trying to work over, or faking his own death so he can continue working and trying to obtain souls from Purgatory. Crowley also never makes the mistake of underestimating his enemies and he knows better than to walk into a losing fight or stick around to watch himself get killed. He will leave if the situation looks like something he can't win, or won't even bother starting the fight to begin with. (Once Castiel takes in all the souls in Purgatory, Crowley teleports out of that mess.)

He has no problem with lying, either. He tells them that he could bring back Sam's soul then tosses in later that -- oh, he couldn't ever do that. He also says he'll release Bobby from his deal, but doesn't. At least until he's threatened with death (by burning his remains from when he was human). Those are just a couple examples, but I feel it goes well into his whole "Salesman" personality.

As the King of Hell, Crowley is not secure at all in his position of power. He fears being over thrown or tossed out of his position of power. He even bothers entering into a deal with Castiel so that he can obtain souls and make that position of power that he has more secure. This is the only time we really see his confidence slip up a bit. He enjoys being in control of the situation and is a very organized King of Hell. In fact -- Crowley has made hell a line....literally. (He says that no one enjoys lines, after all).

When dealing with people, Crowley isn't always the friendliest person you could encounter. He enjoys teasing people, making rude or vulgar comments, and teasing people. He's particularly fond of pet names, and calling people "Darling", "Kitten", or "Sweetheart" for example. He is not shy in exerting his power over people and makes a point to say that he has that power, especially pointing out that he has power over Sam. He knows how to make himself seem nice and pleasant to people if it will benefit him, but could easily turn on you.

In summary -- Crowley will do what he has to to benefit himself. He's not a nice or good guy, but can appear to be if he has to and knows that this is what the job entails. He is in it for himself, and he also corrupts angels. He is a self-serving demon, after all.
✧ ABILITIES/POWERS: Crowley is a crossroads demon and (currently) the King of Hell. There's all sorts of things he can do and is considered an extremely powerful demon. He's walked into a mass of demons and walked out with only cuts and bruises. (Compared to other demons, he's a powerful type, compared to other beings, he is powerful as well. Until we step into Angel Territory. That's a different story.)

The typical set of skills allotted to demons are telekinesis (up to and including the destruction and movement of objects), telepathy, enhanced strength and endurance (there are only very specific methods of killing them, at least by humans). Crowley himself also has pyrokinesis (ability to control fire), and resurrect people -- as he is seen bringing people back with Castiel to suit their plans.

He also has the ability to make deals with people at a crossroads. These deals will typically mean he'll claim someone's soul in ten years and take 'em straight to hell. These deals can encompass a lot as as long as the person is willing to pay the price. They can not be broken unless he personally releases them of the deal.

Oh, did I mention he also has his own personal Hellhound? It's his pet. Hellhounds can no be seen by humans. It listens to him, though. So it isn't like it'll terrorize the place. ;)
✧ TIME OF ARRIVAL: Night.

✧ MASK DESIGN: I couldn't help myself. |D
✧ PLACE OF SOLACE: The house of his that was burned down.

SAMPLES

✧ FIRST PERSON:
[ Video comes on, and the tone that comes across is confident and slightly lazy. Crowley is holding a drink. ] A little bit of peeking around and I already know that this place is something called -- say, Promenade? Sounds exciting, truly, but it must be a joke. [ He holds up his mask. ] And this -- it is not attractive at all. We're supposed to wear it when we go out? [ His expression says he clearly disapproves of this entire thing.] Can't say I agree, but alright -- I'll play along for now, at least.

Besides, anything is better than what is going to happen at home anyway. I prefer this to being removed of my insides and having them used as paint. Not that I think using someone's gastrointestinal system would be a poor decoration choice.

[ He brings his glass to his lips, looking quite amused. ] Plus, I can have myself a drink. Anytime, it seems. I like this whole -- making things I need idea. Convenient.

It's the "Beware" bit I'm not liking. Details, details are needed. So, give me some details, and please skip over the bits I know, sweethearts. Seems a waste of time to give me information I already know.

✧ THIRD PERSON:
Crowley brushed his finger against the marking on the wall to pull up some of the blood. He eyed it on his finger for a moment before bringing it to his lips. He shoved his finger between his lips and tasted the blood on his finger. "Dog blood." He looked annoyed, frustrated, and angry. He turned towards Raphael - at his left - then to Castiel before him. He raised an eyebrow when Castiel confirmed what he had said, and immediately disappeared. He was not about to stick around and wait for someone to kill him off. He knew that staying there was a death wish.

The next moments were blurry, like waking up from an uncomfortable and bad nap. Crowley couldn't remember the last time he woke up like that. It was certainly when he was alive. The room was Yellow when he got up. "Lacking in taste, I see." Certainly wasn't how he would decorate. He moved out from under the sheets -- asking himself why he was under the sheets to begin with. It made virtually no logical sense. He moved to the stained glass window and stared down the unending road.

"I'm dead." Which made little sense to him, but made more than any other option he had. Castiel had obliterated him before he had a chance to leave and that part was all in his head. "Nice place." Too nice for a demon who had just died, especially. He made his way to the nightstand and read over the note.

He was relieved and a bit frustrated to discover that he wasn't dead. If he was dead he'd be perfectly safe, and no King and Queen would be any threat to him. He snorted, "I could use a drink." He thought of the Craig and could almost taste it, and only a moment later, he was holding one. "Convenient."

He could get used to this.

Even with the bizarre mirror sitting there, showing him things from home. He chose to ignore it, as far as he was concerned - this place was his future, not whatever the mirror was going to show him. It wasn't like Crowley believed in destiny. And he certainly wouldn't have gotten where he was if he did believe in it. He picked up what appeared to be an iPhone on the nightstand, stuffed it into his pocket, and made his way out of the room.

He wasn't going to make any progress just standing there and begging for answers.
