Knitting update

In knitting news, I'm casting on for this: February Beret. I'm using a gorgeous yarn that is 60% superwash merino, 20% silk, and 20% linen. It's a beautiful russet color. Lighter than my hair, but in the same color family. I don't know if it'll end up being my hat or not - I've never worn a hat like that - but it's so pretty that I'm sure I ( Read more... )

I followed the link to the February Beret, and saw the top picture of the skein of multicolored yarn. It took my breath away. That is stunning yarn. I think it might make me yearn: to touch it, to knit it. I don't need anything for me right now, and I have lovely yarn that I've bought for me for a future project, but holy crap, that's beautiful.

(I have a thing for colors.)

If you like her stuff, you might also want to check out http://www.woolarina.com/ - I'm knitting the boot socks with her hand dyed yarn medium sock yarn (in the fuchsia / hot pink colorway) now and it's amazing stuff. She's also local to me, which is why I found out about her in the first place. It's definitely inspirational :)
