Bioshock is 5 dollars on Steam right now. That's right, 5 fat bucks gets you some of the best gameplay this year.

Portal is also 5 dollars, the only game to make Zero Punctuation's Yahtzee say "Absolutely sublime start to finish", and to those who enjoy his reviews as much as I do, you'll understand the importance of that ( Read more... )

Yes, Chuck already owns all of the above mentioned. I remain blissfully ignorant save for what I happen to glimpse whilst we sit side by side at our computers. Although I will admit to a certain special place in my heart for Portal - you don't have to be playing it to see how cool that game is.

Ooh, my siblings were expressing interest in Portal at Xmas, may have to tell them about it.

Heh. My mum was watching my brother kick the heads of decapitated bodies in Fable and asked "Are there any pacifist computer games"
Me: Well, there's tetris. And puzzle games like Myst. Also there's portal, you just use a portal gun to get from place to place. It uses real physics and everything.
Mum: That sounds interesting
Me: Of course, YOU may be a pacifist, but that doesn't stop robots and stuff trying to kill you...
Mum: Hmmph.
