Tell me about it; I'm going to have to keep an eye Maxine, that's for sure. Kahlan knows she's set unrealistic expectation regarding this date with Sabrina. However, those of us who have experienced intense heartbreak are always hoping someone will come along and erase all the pain of the past. Sadly, only a time machine can accomplish that. Hmm, maybe this fic should have been a Warehouse 13 crossover.

Well this just took an interesting turn. Who the hell was little Miss PI talking too? Talk about a curve ball. Cara needs to step up and tell Kahlan why she left in the 1st place. You got us on the ropes with this update, can't wait to see where your going with this and just who all the players are. Great job!!

Curve ball, indeed. The trial is nearing so I expect we'll get some answers. I predict a few bombshells in the near future. I've barely started on ch 14 so it's all up in the air. Although one bit I wrote surprised the heck out of me, and will definitely throw the prosecution for a loop. It'll be very emotional for Kahlan in particular.

I may reach out to you for legal advice again -- only if you have the time, of course.

It's funny, I posted a little 1930's gangster fic a few days ago; as it turns out, channeling my inner mobster is much easier than getting in touch with my inner lawyer. It's probably because I spent most of childhood watching classic Hollywood cinema. Turning on my TV more than once a year would probably help.

I don't think the PI is a traitor.Maybe she called this woman who used to work for Kahlan's mum,from the lesbian couple.She seemed to care about Cara's case.I really laughed with Cara teasing, being naked and all.I so hope that Kahlan will break up with her girlfriend soon and do smt with Cara,I'd say in the next chapter ;-)

There's no telling what Maxine's agenda is but she definitely has one. I think Sabrina is going to get kicked to the curb sooner rather than later.

So the plot thickens. I wonder who Maxine is talking to it does not seem to be against Cara so maybe they will help with the case. OH kahlan has to make a decision about what she wants in her life ( be it Sabrina or Cara the one she truly loves ). Good update you still leave us hanging in suspense can't wait for the next update hopefully we will get a few answers and Kahlan will finally make a decision about Sabrina. I hope Kahlan will finally tell Cara how she feels that's just wishful thinking on my part. I know it is complicated because of the trial. Anyway thanks again.

This chapter was pretty light but it certainly provided plenty of food for thought. Kahlan isn't very good at hiding her feelings, but Cara is an expert at it. As I said before, if these two are going to get back together, Cara is going to have to ppour her heart out. Deep down, Kahlan doesn't want to be with anyone other Cara.
