Cara and Kahlan are already basically a romantic couple, just one not crossing too far into the physical intimacy zone (though they are certainly progressing in that direction).

Maxine reminded me of Kenzi from Lost Girl in this chapter.

Of course they're in a relationship. I don't think they've ever not been in a relationship. Even when they were hooking up with other people, it was all about their relationship.

It'll be interesting to see how Cara handles Kahlan's date with Sabrina. Thus far, she's just been a booty call, but Kahlan obviously wants more than that, and ironically, I think it's having Cara back in her life that's made her want more.

I've only watched a couple of episodes of Lost Girl but, yes, there are similarities. Now the question is whether Maxine is friend or foe...or maybe something in between -- I'm not quite sure yet.
