another brillant chapter
the part i appreciated the most is the one about choosing jurors and kahlan's warm approach in contrast with mike's. 'passion rules reason for better or for worse' you bent the wizard's rule to your purpose.
the speech about having kids is fun, though i guess they'd make good mothers after all... when they're not busy at 'soaping' each other anyway!!
soooooo who's this mysterious witness from Mount Titan (namely san marino)?! the spanish belle? some other mord-sith from cara's past? cara's sister? many possibilities and it's undoubted that you'll surprise me.

Kahlan's approach is certainly more inviting than Mike's.

As far as the kids thing, I wrote it in because I'm oh so over the cliche that every lesbian on the planet is desperate for a baby. There are millions of women - gay and straight - who don't want babies.

I suspect our mystery witness will make quite an entry, so stay tuned.

I like that Kahlan and Cara get to have a little happy time and can think about a future together. Now that the trial has started it will definitely get interesting. I like Kahlan's approach to questioning the witness's and her thought process on how she will defend Cara. Oh a mystery witness I wonder how that will play out and if it will help or hurt Cara. Cara and Kahlan are fine as long as they're together. It's almost as if the entire world disappears when they're alone.

I think the trial will be interesting - although I haven't written it yet. All I can do is hope for the best.
