118. Kurt Halsey Art Show in Tampa!!!
So this is what I did today with my good friend te_amo_tambien- i love you dre!!!
So here it goes...
***lots of pictures, not dial-up friendly***
me and dre spot kurt and we are super nervous, that dre might actually pee in her pants. we walked around after spotting him, we are the queens of avoidence... 20 minutes later:
me: give me your marker, i am going to go up to him
dre: what! [hyperventilating]
me: i am going to go ask him to sign my card.
[i dig through dre's purse and i find the marker and gather all my strength to go up and talk to him-- ok here it goes.]
me: hi kurt!
kurt: hi!
[shake hands]
me: i love your work.
kurt: thank you. do you live in tampa?
me: no, i just go to school here at USF.
kurt: cool, cool. thanks for coming out.
me: hey its only 10-15 minutes away, i had to come out.
dre: hi im dre.
kurt: hi
me: this is my friend dre, she's a little nervous.
kurt: ha, dont be.
me, kurt, and dre chatted up a storm.

[he puts his drink down and gets something out of his pocket]
[we got post-its!]
[and then we asked him if he could sign our cards]
[and then we asked to take pictures with him] me and kurt! i was so excited.
dre, kurt, and me. still very excited!!!
[and this is loren, kurt's girlfriend, and sandy talking about fl and about other random juicy stuff]

kurt and loren are the sweetest people around, they are so down to earth. this is probably the best moment in my life.
