[The video comes on to a tiny detective and a weathered old man glaring at each other over a Mamoswine and a Skarmory. It's quiet in the gym, like a Mexican standoff or something.

Then Naoto just nods quietly at the Skarmory and with a quickly executed Steel Wing the mighty mammoth-pig thing falls. The oldman harumphs in response.]

Yes. I hope to make it to Ecruteak soon. Even though there are rumors about Team Rocket being connected to this town, I am wary of pursuing them without appropriate backup.

Mahogany Town. Unfortunately the weather delayed my traveling significantly. I had hoped to be to Goldenrod by now.

An Ice-type gym, huh... [grin] Good thing I finally have a fire-type in my lineup.

Traveling in this kind of weather probably isn't a good idea.

Be careful relying too much on a Fire type. His Dewgong and Lapras are both dual Water/Ice types. The Mamoswine is weak, but the other two do know water attacks.

We'd hoped to be to Goldenrod by Christmas. We've only just gotten to Mahogany.

It's quite far from most of the towns. It's in between Ecruteak and Blackthorn.
