In the past few days I've caught myself drifting into the realm of comparative religion... which is a rather dangerous place for me to wander. I'm not as familiar with the Catholic/Episcopalian methods, but I do know that the Southern Baptist church emphasizes "sins of the flesh" a lot as things like adultery, murder, stealing.

Sins of the word? As I understand it, that has to do with contradicting God's Word. God commands us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Not doing so would be sinning, not of the flesh, but of the word.
