Ah, someone else who appreciates the non-Gwyneth Paltrow Proof! Also, good choices on Prime Suspect (although I couldn't pick just one installment) and Magnolia.

Proof has been one of my favorite movies since I saw it as a teenager at the Angelika in NY playing hooky. (hookie?)

I couldn't pick one Prime Suspect either, although if I had to, I would choose 2. Because I can watch it again and again.

I kind of lost interest in Prime Suspect around 4 and 5, but 6 was a great return to form. I think it was one of the best installments of the series.

Can you believe BBC4 showed Shoah in full the other day. I was really shocked that it got a TV showing, but glad. But having seen it when it first came out, I'm still not sure I can see it again yet.
