Appearance: Marche has mostly short and messy blond hair that has a long strand sticking up on the top and a ponytail in back. He has soft blue eyes, and his face is still a bit pudgy because he hasn't really hit puberty yet. He wears a blue shirt, and red pants. He also has red shoes, and a white scarf that he wears. The scarf is usually wrapped around his neck, and drapes down to about his stomach, as protection against the cold weather of St. Ivalice. His expression is usually curious, unless he's being particularly adamant about something, which is when his entire face becomes very animated.
Personality: Marche is a loyal friend, but a little bit arrogant, both because of his young age and because he thinks he knows what's best. He has traveled to many far places and loves exploring. And yet, he is still a homesick little boy, who misses his family. When his brother Doned was missing, he didn't know what to do, and was surprised that his brother would sell him out. He still maintains some innocence despite having to let his brother claim most of their mother's time, and his parent's divorce. He can arguably be considered to not be very nice, since he was insistent upon returning the world to "how it should be" despite his friend's wishes, and the evidence that things were actually better for them in the land of Ivalice. He's very protective of Doned, or his friends, and hates seeing people picked on or oppressed. He's very much a champion for what he sees as being "right", and will work towards a goal he sets his mind to until it is achieved. He does, however, know how to loosen up - he's still very young. It's just that he has needed to be very independent for the most part, since Doned seems to be the focus of everything in his house.
Abilities/Strengths: Marche has retained some of his fighting abilities from when he was in the land of Ivalice. He's much stronger than he looks, and he also is very fast. He may not have retained any magic, but he does have skill with a sword, though it's been dampened since the land of Ivalice was a "dream world". Marche also knows how to plan strategy, as he's had to organize many battles for his clan.
Weaknesses: Marche is not particularly strong against magic. He is stubborn, and didn't (and still doesn't) understand why his friends didn't want to go home. He is also easily swayed by his emotions, and when he gets angry says things he doesn't always mean and has a bit of a temper.
History: Marche Radiuju, his brother Doned, and their mother moved to the town of St. Ivalice in the winter from a place that had never seen snow, forcing the boys to change schools. The weather was supposed to be better for Doned's health, as he had been struck by a crippling disease since childhood that confined him to a wheelchair. He grew sort of resentful because his mother payed attention to his brother more than she did to Marche. Marche was picked on by the bullies in the school, but still managed to come to the aid of Mewt Randell, another boy who was picked on more fiercely. A girl named Ritz Malheur protected the two boys, and the three became friends.
One day, Mewt found a book in an old bookstore called the Gran Grimoire. He brought it over to Marche's house, and the three friends and Doned examined it. That night, while they were sleeping, the entire town changed into the world of Ivalice, where Mewt was a prince and his mother, who had passed away, was alive again, and his father, who had become depressed after Mewt's mother's death, was the Judgemaster.
Marche woke up in a strange town, and accidentally offended a Bangaa (an aggressive and lizard-like race of people). A Moogle, Montblanc, aided Marche in defeating the Bangaa, and offered him a place in his clan. Marche accepted and was allowed to name the clan, making it Clan Nutsy.
Marche was homesick, and wanted to get back to the town of St. Ivalice. His friends (and his brother, who could now walk and run freely in this world) wanted no such thing, and attempted to stop him after he learned that to restore the world, he had to defeat five creatures, called Totema, who were the guardians of the five crystals that made up the world.
He did eventually defeat the Totema, with help from his clan and a Nu Mou named Ezel Berbier (who could change the laws with Law Cards and Antilaw Cards). He fought against Llednar Twem, who was the embodiment of Mewt Randell's darker side. He chased the Queen, Remedi, and Mewt to Ambervale, the Royal Valley, defeated Llednar once and for all, and fought Remedi, who turned out to be a sixth Totema. After defeating her, the world returned to normal. His brother was back in the wheelchair, and Mewt's mother was back to being dead. Mr. Randell was no longer a judge, but he did start to become a little more held together. Ritz was a little happier, because she didn't think that her white hair was so bad anymore, since Shara told her white hair is considered a blessing of the Viera.
Unfortunately, soon after the world went back to normal, Marche was hit by a car. :(
