~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: Catherine is a night creature best known as a Succubus/Incubus from another dimension. Basically, she approaches men and takes on the form of their ideal woman. She then proceeds to forming a parasitic relationship with them and kills them slowly as she drains their life away night after night via sex. While the game was solely focused on Vincent and other men with relationship trouble, Succubi are known to go between being both a Succubi and an Incubi. She mainly targets guys since they're easily susceptible to feminine wiles, making it easier to feed on them. Also, she's there to purposely test relationships.
Besides charming men into cheating on their girlfriends/wives/etc., she can practically become invisible to others, appearing where ever her target is whenever she wishes. She also has a nasty ability to curse guys with Nightmares (single targets) if she so chooses. While they're busy focused on climbing the massive block tower they need to climb and running away from their own personal demons (and fighting with other men trapped there), she drains their energy and if they die in their dreams, she kills them, leaving them a dried, severely attenuated corpse.
(Note on Nightmares: Since Dumuzid was at one point a human later turned into a demi-god by Ishtar, I believe that everyone from Catherine's dimension has the ability to bestow Nightmares on those who they choose to. Dumuzid was simply blessed with this ability, but amplified due to Ishtar and her wishes.
Ishtar: Yes, the Babylonian Goddess of Love, War, Fertility, and Sex. She's the one actually behind the whole Trials plot. Originally using the Nightmares to find a suitable consort, she now wants to replace her current consort Dumuzid. Can be assumed Catherine 'works' for her if only to pick on the men Ishtar doesn't want.)
How would they use their abilities?: Just to have fun, cause some mayhem, and eat like any other Succubi would~♥
Appearance: She has many forms, but for the sake of the game (and my head), she will have three main forms and a permission form to fill out.
First is the common human form she will take when she has no specific victim, better known as Vincent's Catherine. She appears as a curvy blonde with spiral pigtails, bright blue eyes, and pale skin without a single flaw. Typically she's garbed in a white, spaghetti strapped corset with a red bow around the waist (the corset is very lowcut to reveal her frilly white bra) and a short white skirt. She also wears white, thigh high stockings, white high heels, and a white collar around her neck. Are we seeing the deceiving white theme?

Her second form is her Nightmare form faced in the 8th Stage, The Cathedral. Her appearance grows exponentially and skin becomes two toned, one arm a decaying tan and the other becomes a rotten blue. Her eyes become black sclera, the irises glow orange, and her pupils slit. Her jaw widens and becomes fanged and the skin around her mouth tears. Since it's only a form in Nightmares, her attacks kill in one strike.

Her last form is her true demon form. Her horns appear and curl around like ram horns, the black tips pointing forward. Her eyes become red and her skin becomes covered in stripes. The end of her hair becomes longer and fades to black. The stockings she originally wore are now black, thigh length stiletto boots and she wears black, arm length gloves with her claws showing through. This form is practically naked except for the boots, gloves, and the red ribbon around her waist.

Much about Catherine's background is unknown, but what is known is she's a succubus that frequently visits men who are having relationship troubles. Let's expand on this a little further...
In the game Catherine, one of her newest targets is Vincent, a 32-year old male who happens to be dating a woman named Katherine. The two have been dating for five years, but it has never moved onto a more serious level and Katherine begins to pressure Vincent into marriage. That very evening after their conversation, Vincent goes drinking in the Stray Sheep, a bar that is one of the main settings in Catherine, with his friends Jonathan, Orlando, and Tobias. It's only after his friends leave that a blonde bombshell approaches the booth he happens to be sitting in, asking to join him while he drinks. This is where he meets Catherine for the first time. She's everything Vincent could want in a girl: hot, blonde, and totally against the idea of marriage. Instead, she wants to be free and have fun. She becomes a little tipsy and lures Vincent in for a kiss. Not too long after, Vincent finds himself awakening in his room with Catherine in his bed and remembering he just cheated on Katherine.
This is just what Catherine does and has done for hundreds of years it seems. When men like Vincent hesitate about forming a relationship that would ensure the survival of their species, they are put to the test. While they sleep, they're cursed with nightmares by Dumuzid, the owner and bartender best known as "Boss" at Stray Sheep. The nightmares test their will to live as well as making them face their fears keeping them from forming meaningful commitments. Of course, in Vincent's case, he also has Catherine to worry about outside of his nightmares. She's very persistent, sending him texts and images of herself to tempt him out of his relationship with Katherine over the course of seven days. There's obviously something very special about him to keep her coming back (must have something to do with him being the Protagonist haha).
On the seventh day, it seems as though Vincent has made up his mind (despite having glimpses of a rather... nasty temper Catherine has). At the Stray Sheep, he breaks things off with Catherine. Her response is to drag him to the bathroom while sobbing, but then beating the shit out of him before taking her leave. The next day, Vincent calls Katherine over to have a small talk with her, but Catherine makes her appearance behind him, shocking Vincent and pissing off Katherine. While they all have a sit down, Catherine insults Katherine over coffee, driving the older woman into a rage. She gets up and proceeds over to Vincent's sink, reaching for something, but she's unable to find it. Unfortunately, Catherine already has the knife Katherine is searching for and a fight ensues. Vincent is injured and, during the struggle between both women, Catherine is stabbed in the chest. While it appears that she's dead, it turns out this is part of the nightmare. Taking on her Nightmare appearance, Catherine chases Vincent and Katherine to the top of the Cathedral (the floor on the Eighth Night) and is banished when they succeed.
Since this is the True Normal Ending, Vincent ends up losing both Catherine and Katherine (Catherine leaving to prey on more susceptible men and Katherine just breaks up with him) and decides to start over again by moving into a space station.

Catherine's personality varies from each man she targets, but as Vincent's Catherine, she's a young and flirtatious buxom beauty who doesn't have a problem with speaking her mind or trying something new (literally). She's very persistent when it comes to Vincent; constantly sending him texts and risque photos, and trying to meet up with him whenever possible (even at the most inopportune moments). Compared to Katherine, she's much more territorial and clingy about Vincent, making it known one evening in bed.
That brings me to the other half of her personality. Catherine is very much a Yandere; sweet most often, but dangerous. On several occasions, she has threatened to kill Vincent (who took it mostly as a joke until she glared) or has threatened that she will die. When he successfully breaks up with her, Catherine goes from heartbroken girl to women's wrath in five seconds, beating up Vincent within the Stray Sheep's bathroom. It's scary to remember this is all part of her job and she's usually not rejected so expect her to become extremely hostile when one man decides to break it off with her.
As stated earlier, Catherine's personality changes with each male victim. What Vincent wants is a free soul. This is Catherine's base (and only) attraction to him in the "Catherine Bad Ending". Due to her nature as a Succubus, her true personality is based around impulse and excitement. It's why she's happy to be 'employed' by Duzmuzid to prey on the 'lustful sinners' in his bar.
