Summary: TakaNoo’s new year resolutions
30 minutes ago, the people in the neighborhood could clearly hear the sound of laughter, loud music, and the others noisy noise coming from this big house on the corner of the street.
But now, only soft snores from these young boys could be heard. They were supposed to go back to their own houses after the Johnny’s Countdown Concert, but, they decided to have a party at Yabu’s house instead.
They were having so much fun partying to celebrate the New Year until one by one finally got really tired and they all ended up sleeping in the living room together.
Inoo chuckled seeing Chinen’s sleeping face. He remembered the younger boy said something like ‘I’ll stay up all night long and party like a boss’ but ended up being the first to fall asleep. He pulled a blanket over Chinen’s small body to protect the kid from the cold weather.
“Inoo-chan?” a voice called for his attention.
“Yuyan?” Inoo turned his back, “I thought you slept already”
“You too”
“I can’t sleep”
“I see,” Takaki nodded, “Want to go for a walk? I can’t sleep either”
“Sure”
They grabbed their jackets and went to the front door quietly, definitely not wanting to wake the other members up.

Outside, the sky was still pretty dark, and they also still could see few stars blinking. They stayed in silence as they walked together somewhere, side by side.
“So,” Takaki started, “what makes you can’t sleep?” he asked, breaking the silence.
“I don’t know. I just can’t. What about you?”
“Same here”
Another silence came up. They didn’t feel uncomfortable though. Both of them seemed enjoying the beautiful view despite of the freezing weather.
“Hey, Inoo-chan,” Takaki called again after they decided to stop at the park and sat down on the bench.
“Yes?”
“What’s your New Year’s resolution?”
“Hmm,” “I’ll study more hard and I’ll be more focus on working too!”
Takaki smiled, “As expected from you,” he ruffled the latter’s hair, “But please, don’t over-do it. You get sick easily.”
“Don’t worry!” Inoo gave the older his thumb up, “What about you? What’s your New Year’s resolution?”
Without any hesitation, Takaki answered, “I’ll definitely lose weight this year!”
Inoo laughed.
“Oi!” Takaki yelled, “That’s not a laughing matter!”
“I’m sorry~” Inoo said after he stopped his laugh, “I don’t think you need to lose weight. Your body looks fine”
“Lies. Everyone said I’m getting fatter” Takaki pouted
“Everyone gets fatter after the Christmas and New Year’s Eve”
“You don’t”
“I do. But you can’t see it,” Inoo laughed again
Somehow, seeing this side of Inoo, instead of yelling again at the younger boy, he laughed along with him.
“Hey, hey, what if I became as fat as a Sumo wrestler?” Takaki asked in playful tone.
“Hmm,” Inoo paused, “I’d still like you!” He giggled.
Takaki’s sure his heart skipped a beat, he didn’t expect the pretty boy would say that.
“Thanks,” he muttered.
He could feel his cheeks growing warm, and now he had to avoid having eye-contact with Inoo to hide his now blushing face.
“Yuyan?” Inoo moved closer, “Your face is kinda red, are you having a fever?” he tried to touch Takaki’s forehead
Takaki shook his head, “N-No, I’m fine. It’s just, it’s a bit cold,” he reasoned.
Inoo nodded, “Let’s go back then,” he stood up, “It would also be troublesome if Yabumama or the others woke up and found out we aren’t there,”
“Uh, yeah” Takaki stood up and followed Inoo.
He didn’t know why, he didn’t know what kind of courage that stormed in to his self which made him suddenly hold Inoo’s hand, and entwined their fingers. He swore he didn’t want to let go.
“I hope you don’t mind,” Takaki said shyly
“Yeah, sure,” Inoo nodded quietly. He could feel his heart’s rate sped up.

“Where have you been?” Hikaru asked in worried tone as he saw Takaki and Inoo opened the front door.
“Sorry,” they replied
Hikaru looked at the boys in front of him suspiciously, he smirked when he saw Takaki was still holding Inoo’s hand, “I see, having a really late date, huh?”
Takaki immediately let go of Inoo’s hand, “Sorry,” he muttered to Inoo. Damn Hikaru, I’ll kill him later. He glared at the blonde boy.
“Oi, what’s up with that stare? Come on guys, no need to hide it anymore, we all already knew you both have feelings for each oth-“
“Shut up, Hikaru” Yabu managed to come in time and whacked the goofy boy’s head, “Sorry guys, He’s probably drunk” he said to Takaki and Inoo.
“Hey! I’m not!” Hikaru tried to protest but stopped instantly after seeing Yabu giving him a death glare.
“Just go to sleep now, we’ll have a rehearsal this afternoon,” the caring Yabumama said to his ‘children’ who obeyed him right away.
“Good night” Takaki and Inoo said then they went back to the living room.
Hikaru sighed, “Kou, please remind me to include ‘Get Takaki and Inoo admitted their feelings for each other’ in my New Year’s resolutions.”
Yabu chuckled, “Nah, I don’t think you need to”
“Why?”
“Just trust me, they’ll be fine. Mama knows the children better than Papa does,” Yabu said playfully as he dragged Hikapapa back to his room.

“I’m sorry, we got scolded,” Takaki sighed
Inoo shook his head, “It’s alright,” he gave the older an assuring smile.
“And, um, about holding your hand,” Takaki scratched the back of his head, “I, I’m also sorry if you don’t like it”
Inoo sighed, “Yeah, you should be sorry. I don’t like it,” he rolled his eyes.
Takaki was taken aback, Damn, I ruined everything. He mumbled under his breath.
“I don’t like it when you let go of my hand,” Inoo looked away, though his now blushing face was still visible to Takaki’s eyes.
Takaki dumbfounded, “Eh?”
“Nevermind, that was lame. Now, I feel so embarrassed,” Inoo said, “Well, good ni-“
The next thing Inoo knew, he felt the older boy’s soft lips were pressed against his. He closed his eyes, melting into the kiss as Takaki pulled his head. He couldn’t help but responding to every kiss he was pulled into. The kiss was sweet and tender.
Both of them stared at each other as they broke the kiss, “Sorry,” Takaki muttered.
“Well,” Inoo paused, “You’re forgiven,” he smiled sheepishly.
“I’m glad,”
Takaki was about to kiss the pretty boy again when suddenly, he noticed Hikaru and Yabu had been watching them quietly from the beginning.
“Kill Hikaru and Yabu is most likely going to be my New Year’s resolution, yep.” Takaki glared at the couple.
“Sorry,” Hikaru said, “Both of you can use Kota’s bedroom now. If you want,”
“What do you mea-“
“Thanks Hika!” Inoo pulled Takaki’s arm and drag him to Yabu’s room.
Yabu sighed, “Hikaru you idiot.”
“Oh shut up Kou, we’re going to be Grandparents this year.”
