I hasten to add that this is all based on *no* name changes -- the guy in four orders does, indeed, have a name change that screws things up. I took this into account.

What "other two"? There are only 5 Orders of High Merit in the East. Are you thinking of the Artemis and Golden Mantle? They are Orders of Honor.

Actually, no, which means I have to poke at it some more.

I found Conrad Connor MacAllyn. (Listed as "Conrad MacAllyn" in one place)

Ah. Ivan is listed as "Ivan Ulricson" in three places and "Ivan Ulricsson" in one place.

So there's at least two.

Ah, yes, the recurring battle to tell whether "Conrad MacAllyn" is the same as "Conrad Connor MacAllyn" or if the latter took a second prenom for difference. Right up there with Eric/Arioch this week.

(Where's the mistaken spelling instance for Ivan?)
