Oh no oh no oh no disaster - was playing with laptop whilst lying in bed, as is usual before sleep. said laptop then fell on my face giving my nose a decided wack. No blood or breakages but despite much icing and rubbing (I read that it prevents bruising or something???) there is a very definite change in shape. It doesn't look bad, yet. Poor baby. Bad, bad laptop.

Yes, lots of cold was the right thing to do.

Bugger P and ex-friend. (Maddie?) And worry not about the interview. Beautiful as you are, that is not what will get you an offer or not. It's what's inside your pretty head that matters this time.

To be honest I'd really rather not bugger Peter...

"It's what's inside your pretty head that matters this time."

I know, but what if there's not much inside the head? I may have knocked it all out. Hmmm.

I don't think a mere laptop can knock all that much out.

As for Peter, think what you could do with the wrong end of a baseball bat before rejecting a concept...

OUCHIES!

Have a (((FHUG)))

Cold compress is good. If it discolours, make-up on the day... After all, they won't know what you are SUPPOSED to look like!

I once got a job after interviewing with a black eye. Pillock with HUGE back-pack on a bus...

I know but I don't own any concealer! I don't get bad skin often enough for it to be worth it. Maybe I've got some 6yr old stuff floating about.
Thank you for hugs :)

Now mug up on artists with violent histories, time-in-the-gutter etc and you're fixed. Michelangelo is a prime suspect, I think.

What about Breugel (any of them)? Weren't they into black eyes?

Seriously, if swelling runs into eyes, might need a check up at A&E to be on the safe side. First Aid is correct, cold compresses and arnica? or is it witch hazel?

Coincidentally my most recent idea for my MA dissertation is a comparison between Caravaggio and Artemisia Gentileschi so perhaps it's appropriate :)
Don't know about Breugal sadly, focus on the Italians, but tbh they all loved a bit of a punch-up in those days.
Swelling is not serious, I can still see so hurrah on that. Was just glad we had ice in the freezer :)
