Going a bit weird from sleep deprivation....

I have made a conscious choice to go to sleep now. The essay is in on friday at 5, have written approx. 1000 words. Admittedly I haven't yet actually addressed the question... but I feel this is the question's fault, not mine. It's a bit frustrating, because however good my intentions are, I always seem to be up late the night before the deadline ( Read more... )

But how much of their half will descend to the cutting room floor?

The more you have researched the more it will write itself? Do you go into the 'what the average renaaissance gfamily would want in their living room' type thing? You know, would the wife approve of 'Leda and the Swan' outsiude her boudoir?

Remember the immortal lines of Anon:
"The horse bit his master!
How cameth this to pass?
He heard the good Pastor cry:
"All flesh is grass"

And then don't get me onto the Muse and Illegal Substances!!!

Isn't writing the essay at 3 am normal for students any more?

I used to do my best work between 2 and 3 am, after getting in from a bop in the JCR and sinking a nice G&T or two... Made words on irony and love in the sonnets of almost everyone you never heard of in renaissance poets flow like water.

I most definitely second that one! Literature always sounds better after a glass of wine and you can miraculously turn into a literary genius with words just flowing from your fingertips onto the computer screen, spooky how that happens XD

I know just what you mean about the Great Depression. There's only so many times I can teach Steinbeck or Harper Lee without getting depressed.

Your new icons looked a touch dark, so I've played with them a little - the more fed up you are, the more you need bright and cheerful icons!
