Boredom

Well. It's been a while. A lot has happened, and most of you already know all about it I'm sure (as is the tendency of extended family), but I'll fill you in anyway. A summary of the last 3 months.....
Venice and general gallivanting.

I stacked a dishwasher for the summer after leaving Durham, and then wrote over 250 applications before landing a proper teaching job. And then it was only for 2 terms... After the dishwashing finished I filled in for a term with supply teaching. That was a lot of fun and taught me a hell of a lot about actual classroom teaching. I don't think things are that bleak yet. Keep your fingers suitably knotted, apply for anything even remotely like what you really want to do, and try for an MA place next year or the year after.

Venice is my absolutely favorite city - slight jealousy here, but thanks for the pics - I *emote* to pictures of Venice.

I've been unemployed for quite a while now. I sympathise. On the other hand, I'd quite like to be in a position to be *applying* for jobs... and(mumble) years younger
