Your opinion matters...well not really

So I want to buy a digital camera, and they all pretty much look the same to me. I am leaning towards the Canon ELPH or Casio Exlilim. I want a small one, with decent zoom, and some good features on the camera (preset light modes and such). Does anybody have any other suggestions or relevant information towards one or the other. I have an older Canon Powershot (Michelle got it for me when I graduated a few years ago), and it's perfect for what I use it for. If all you are doing is documenting events and your life you don't need an ultra-fancy camera like Nuzz, but if you are into taking professional photographs or very artistic shots then something more expensive (like Nuzz's camera) is certainly in order.

Speaking of which, have you seen any of Nuzz's work? I use a lot of his stuff as backgrounds on my laptop, and he's shown me some of the pictures he has taken that have not made it up to his gallery. He's really talented.

I have a Canon Powershot ELPH SD100. It it 3.2 megapixel, 2x normal zoom, 6x optical zoom. It has auto-imaging or manual so you can decide how the shot is taken. It has all of the standard options that most cameras come with. It is small, light, and has a decent battery life as well. I got a 256mb card to go in the camera (it was like 60$ when i bought it, i'm sure it's less now). The video capture is pretty nifty as well. Depending on the resolution you want to use for your video, you can take 30sec. to 3min. length videos. I'm sure there are newer Powershots you can get for around 300$ that have better specs. Mine's like 2 years old.

I've got a Powershot that's a couple years old (S200) and I'd definitely go with Canon again. I got to play with an SD200 not too long ago, and I think that's going to be my next camera - it's quick, it's got a nice screen, and the interface is usable.

among my family we have three different models of the digital ELPH, and we are all happy with them.
