So it's 1030pm on Monday evening. And I just got home from work 30 minutes ago. I left work at 5pm and it took me FIVE FUCKING HOURS to get here!!!!! Let me tell you a little about my evening ( Read more... )

Oh holy crap! That isn't even an option to me due to my allergy but wow, you go for walking home. I would NEVER have dreamed up that! Or done it! I'm glad you found some nice people though that took the ease off the WHOLE walk home!

Yeah my mom says I was crazy and should've just stayed with the car. My carpool buddy didn't even get home till 12:21a this morning! They didn't open the freeway lanes back up till midnight!!

wow, i have like 3 lj posts from friends in seattle who had a hard time last night.

i'm glad, but probably not as glad as katie, that you got home safely.

and thank you for reminding me to put an emergency pack in my jeep because we are getting snow late this week.

yes yes lots of blankets! I swear I was borderline hypothermic (is that a word?!) cuz even after I got home and changed, ate hot food and sat in front of the heater, I couldn't get warm. It took a couple hours to get to a point where I actually felt warm!!!

Holy Shit! Your cold weather is supposed to reach us by this weekend. Of course, we'd never experience anything like you are dealing with, and if we were to, they'd shut the city down.

Really?! They couldn't do that here, they'd have to shut down the entire state! It's our biggest November storm on record. And we've already reached our record level of precipitation ever! crazy stuff! It's usually the kind of thing that only hits outlying areas. But this is everywhere, even the lower elevations and major cities.
