My sister's bought some FIMO clay and so I spent the evening making a K9 necklace and a pair of TARDIS earrings. I am fully aware that I should really feel ashamed but I'm too busy playing with my new toys for the moment.

Modern art at its very best )

Wow you have some serious Fimo skills there! I'm too clumsy to try anything fiddly, it always ends up as a pretty multi-coloured blob...

^^ Well "multi-coloured blobs" can be quite cool when used as earrings ^^
I just can't stop fiddling with my FIMO clay, I don't know where I'll put all those Tardis and K-9s once my FIMO phase calms down.

Hello! I saw this from the DoctorWho Comm and just had to comment for two reasons...First off those are so CUTE! And very nice looking, I'm very impressed. Second I have never met anyone else in this world who uses FIMO clay (premo is my favorite, but still can't knock the FIMO)and just wanted to say hello to another clayer in the world.

Do you make a lot of jewelry?

Nice to meet you btw!

Hyia fellow clayer! *waves*

I didn't know what premo is so I had to look it up. I just use FIMO because it is the easiest to find for me. Is there really a big difference between the two?
But you got me curious, I'll try to find some premo.

No I don't make a lot of jewellery, this must be like the 4th or 5th time I was using clay but I have the feeling that's it's just the beginning of a veeeery long phase ;) You also use clay to make DW characters/objects? I'm looking for inspiration since I don't really know what to do next.

Nice to meet you too! :)

Premo is the American version of Fimo, basically. Both are great quality and great for making millifori canes (which is what I normally do)they don't have milky colors after baking like some polymers and are just very solid to work with.

I'm crap at making object that actually resemble anything but I mostly make jewelry out of the canes. Mostly design work. And sadly yes, you are probably entering a very long phase of claying. I picked up my first package of FIMO when I was sixteen and have always had it in the house ever since (and I'm in my 30's now!)

As for inspiration there is a great website called Polymer Clay Daily, and they have some interesting things, Polymer Clay Cafe is a great magazine. Bead&Button is a great resource...LOL, sorry that was more stuff than you really wanted wasn't it? Hope to see more of your work soon!

I'll try to see if I can find some premo...

Non no it's not too much that's exactly what I was looking for! ^^ It's just a bit depressing to see what they manage to make with some clay when I'm still struggling to make things with more than 3 colours O_o
But that's also motivating, thanks! :)

Thank you. Don't you think the Doctor met Monet at some point?

Well this paint sure is proof enough! ^^

Steven Moffat should totally write this episode! I love it when the Doctor meets historic characters :)
