Congratulations! That sounds so awesome :D

So, what exactly does a mémoire about the BBC entail?

EDIT: I just looked up "mémoire" and see it is a dissertation. Oh, that's so cool!

Thanks! :D

Yes I didn't want to say "dissertation" since in French a dissertation is only 4/5 pages-long and a "mémoire" is (at least) 50 pages long. And also you have to bring new things, to find some new material to work on in your domain. For instance, mine being the BBC, I'll have to go and interview some people who listened to the BBC during WWII ^^

Oooh that's great news! Congrats! :) I remember how happy I was when I heard I had been accepted on exchange program, it's wonderful you've been given the chance to go where you want to. I'm sure you're gonna have a great time!!

Aww thanks! :D

And I followed your advice btw. You were like the 100th person to tell me that it's better to sign up for a whole year than for a semester (eventhough it scared me a bit) and so I did :)

Heehee yes, it's definitely better to spend a year :) It took me about two or three months to find the people I most enjoyed spending my time with and then everything was suddenly ending already. And a year will pass quickly! :)

Thank you! :D

They didn't give you a choice for Montreal? It had to be one semester or nothing?!

Also, now I don't regret anything since I realized that it's not even a year. 1st semester = 3 months + 2nd semester = 4 months 1/2. So it's only just a bit more than a REAL semester!
