Dog Warning Card

My girlfriend found this thing. My expert sleuthing (aka literacy) leads me to believe it is a way for postal workers to communicate with each other (as opposed to their customers) about your demon mutt.

Case in front swing means you put the card in the case, which is where mail is sorted for route delivery.

After dog incident occurs means the dog already bit someone.

I'll bet a sub or someone unfamiliar with the route took the card out with the mail and accidentally delivered it. I'd hate to get the phone call on that one. LOL

Thanks for the info! What's the "front swing"? The last few days I've been obsessing over the language b/c my brain wants to think it's a complete sentence. I appreciate the help. :D

I like how the card is completely devoid of any official USPS seal.

LOL I haven't seen the term front "swing", but most things at USPS are in abbreviations so I'm surprised it doesn't have an official form number on it. That's how supervisors talk, "did you fill out form 3849" etc etc...like I know which number is which, just tell me what color the damn thing is! lol In the front has to mean in front of all the rest of the mail for that house. And if you're curious, I haven't seen that form with the ridiculous dog clip art. lol We did have a dog attack recently at our post office though, pitbull ripped apart a carrier real well.

Cocker spaniels are pretty well known for being nippy dogs. Some of them get pretty aggressive.

would be easier if they just said we're not delivering to freaky dog people's houses. they can pick up at PO

I don't know, for some reason I don't find it too funny that a dog bit someone who were just doing their job. Just the fact that there are enough dog owners out there with so little control of their dogs that those cards are needed is a shame.
