A few other things:
I bought a 2nd mattress for the house I will (eventually) move into.
I looked at mattress stores for fun more recently, despite not needing another mattress, because the stores were all about me in a big mall.
The Purple mattress store had a lavender scent diffuser and a photo of lavender. They used mild purple lighting.
The Saatva store had an abstract tree and another kind of smell. To me, it smelled like wealth. I asked an employee if they used a scent diffuser and was told they did.
The Casper store had mattresses within wooden structures like small rooms and it smelled to me of wood. I didn't bother asking if they used a diffuser.
The Tempurpedic store also had a scent and I confirmed they, too, used a diffuser. I imagine lots of stores there use diffusers.
