Hello everybody! Today I went with my Maman and my best friend to the Sydney Vintage show, which was held not far from where I live. A lovely man who looked just like my Grandpa Zdenek sold me a bunch of old photos he had at his stall. I've put dates and names with the photos when they were given on the back. Here's a preview:

What you figured out is very similar to what I got:

"Dear Elsa,
This is a picture taken by a young lady who is only just learning how to take pictures. It is ? (here I thought it said 'Lettie') and four of her little friends. The 'littlest' one I enclose a picture of her (?) (?) Thursday.
(And then something about seeing the children.)

I saw the pepper thing too, and thought wtf? It made me giggle.
Damn the person who stuck this in an album.

Okay I freaked out when you posted this, because he DOES look like the guy on the pendant.

I took a closer look with my trusty magnifying glass, and I think they're different guys (I THINK. I could be wrong). The hairline is wrong, and the man in the pendant is looking off to the right (our left). For shame, it would have been cool if they were the same. Where did you find that pendant?

i found the pendent in the small town of keystone, at the base of mt. rushmore here. one of the reasons i was skeptical, how could the pendent (or picture) traveled so far? and yeah, not the same guy. the pendent in the picture is cropped closer to his face, the hair is darker as well as the eyes. but still a neat coincidence!

It could be a pepperina tree (also known as a broadleaf pepper tree)
