Who gave you the impression that Saudi Arabian women HAD more rights? To be fair, I've heard reports that they're actually going to be able to vote in municipal elections soon, which is pretty amazing progress, and unlike in Africa, the men who raped her were punished pretty severely. In Africa they might not have faced punishment at all, though it depends on the country ( ... )

A coalition of Middle Eastern countries put out a release (I think it was about a month ago) about how women have so many rights and that the Western Culture makes them out to be monsters... Don't worry they do a good job of that on their own.

I doubt even in 100 years they will have the rights of American women. The combination of religion and government will never let that happen. Look at Iran, all progress that was made was thrown out the door when a new conservative government took control. If womens rights are left up to men who interpret the religious texts, women only have a hope to be a second class citizen.

Oh, I hadn't heard about that. I mean, there are some pretty forward thinking countries in the area that aren't near as restrictive as Saudi Arabia or Iran, those are the extreme examples on the spectrum. On the other side is the UAE, Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon, who while not perfect, are certainly moving steadily forward.

In a 100 years, western, eastern and everything in between will be extremely mixed together, and even the Middle East will have to adapt to it, and that means men living with societal changes. Women's rights were left up to men in the west too, for thousands of years, and yet men were still moved to action and equality. It just takes timing, not giving up, and time itself.
