I'm looking into transferring to Stanford for fall 2007. Are there any students, transfer or otherwise, out there with any advice for the transfer

I too will be attempting to transfer in Fall '07. Academics aside (still suggesting that you're way up there), you're essay and your individuality is all they care about. The steep decline in transfer acceptance over the years is horrific. From around 12% in the 90's to the current 4.5% we face today.
Unfortunately I've no clue to your questions about residency or the max number of credits, the answers I've always found to any questions is there are no set requirements for anything, although ..well you know damn well as I do that isn't the case. Your focus in film gives you an edge, they want to see a continuous interest or passion in some form or another.
I grew up in Thailand and want to go back after I finish schooling to do some NGO work, maybe I'll see you around SEA on day.
Until then, I wish you the best of luck, I'm sure you're a worthy opponent. Okay I lied *pushes you*. Hahaha, no really, good luck.
