fountain hopping?

so i've been wondering... do any of you actually actively and/or regularly go fountain hopping? i keep wanting to go, but i can never find people from my house who want to go, and i always end up sadly sitting around in my room. it's not as fun going alone...

I did it once as a freshman and froze my ass off because they keep the water in some of them (like the one outside MemAud) obscenely cold. Now I know to wait until an absolutely unbearably hot day.

Silly Magali, it's not like they chill it, or should be expected to heat it. You suck it up and have fun.

Usually freshmen are malleable enough that if you send an excited email ("fountain hopping at noon before lunch!") they're good to go. Otherwise there are groups of upperclassmen girls you can kinda tell would be down, but don't have the initiative to start it themselves. I think the problem is that no one wants to look like a lametard and suggest going fountain hopping if no one else wants to.

i suggest it all the time but no one ever responds to my dorm e-mails... i really don't know what kind of "upperclassmen girls" you're talking about. care to elaborate?

I feel like a lot of people just chill in the claw on a hot day and drink beer and stuff..

"Hot day" is the operative phrase. As a result, fountain-hopping doesn't happen much outside of early Fall quarter and late Spring quarter.
