questions about american studies.

is anyone here an american studies major? how is the amstud department? do they make you read mulitple books per semester?

also it's quarters (three of them), not semesters. so even more reading. i suggest not going fuzzy if you don't like reading...

1) there will always be multiple books per semester because unlike in high school they are short books and you only read parts of them. no big textbook. unless you are in a math class. if you don't like 100+ pages of reading per week, do not pick a "fuzzy" humanities major.

2) shelly fisher fishkin is head or one of the heads of the amstud department, and she's awful. everyone else i've met in the department is great though.

sorry i asked dumb questions but i am trying to compare the difficulty between stanford and cal state fullerton. i'm actually a senior at cal state fullerton in american studies.
