It seems impossible for Shikamaru, well-practiced master of the noncommittal answer, to not understand the subtleties of a 'hm.' There's only one way to find out. He sighs quietly before speaking, the sigh not weighted by exasperation but indicative something that might be calm, if he could just calm down already. The emotions are mostly unfamiliar...part of the trick? Gaara could be having some kind of negative effect too, Shikamaru realizes with uncharacteristic concern]

What is it? Is something wrong?
