I really liked Tao in this, he cares for Jongin and tries to advise him against piercing his lip, though ultimately allows him to make his own decision. Jongin's voice is great, I liked how the extent of their relationship slowly reveals itself. I think Jongin is being irrational, but I guess it's exactly as Tao said, that he's getting a piercing because of a desire to 'be himself' in spite of his idol job that doesn't always allow for that.

hmm, this is an interesting interpretation. i never intended tao to have an opinion neither for nor against kai getting his piercing, he's merely mocking him for it. likewise kai's desire to get a piercing wasn't so much about expressing "himself" (tbh i don't think real kai would want to get a facial piercing) as expressing something period, maybe he just wanted to do something he wasn't allowed to lol. but i guess that in a way is about expressing himself. anyway, thank you for such a deep and analyzing comment! :D
