So here I am. It's a friday night in July, and only 3 days until Nik's birthday, and she's not even in the country so I can't say happy birthday. She's not even in the same hemisphere to me, and it's taken me 10 months to realise that I miss her, and I love her more than I had tried to forget

If I've loved someone for a long time, but it's always been unrequited, does that make it love, or psychotic infatuation?

I don't think you can know until after the feeling fades, if it does at all. I've been there a couple of times before... I maintain the first was actual love but the second was meerly unjustified infatuation.

I hope you feel better, sweetheart. I know feeling lonely is the worst, but things will eventually look up. And you have your friends, and as long as they're there for you it can make the world of difference.
