Oh, so that's why else the stables are closed. Some of the animals are excited by blood.

Yeah. Thought it might have been because someone couldn't control their animal last time people were kids, but the grooms seemed more hassled this time than last.

I don't know about wolves, but never bleed where a griffin can see it. And I think horses get spooked by the smell.
