After storming out of Shade's office, the first thing Jenny had done was traipse her way to the training suite. But the nearer she'd got, the more loss of will she'd got, and the more she'd just... found herself stopping. Like she'd just stopped functioning. The seeds of doubt had been sown. She'd passed right by the entrance to the suite, only to come to a dead end, where she'd slumped back against the wall, her knees pulled up close to her as she held her head in her hands.
Jenny didn't even respond when she was certain Shade's eye was on her. All she said was "Go away," whilst wiping her face clean, sniffing.
She let herself cry. She was allowed that, right? It wasn't about him going against her or denying the party idea. It was the fact he doubted her and didn't care at all, and buried her with false accusations, made her worry for her father. Saying she was worthless and had been shirking her duties... she could cry from that. The person she'd had faith in, crushing it? That crushed her. And mentioning her dad being mad with her... she never wanted to see pain in his eyes from her wrong doings again. So she allowed herself to cry.
