"Just wondering what you were doing," was Jenny's innocent reply. She'd left the training area a few minutes beforehand; there was only so much she could teach without actually going into the field everyday. And the fact they'd been on standbay for over a week meant she couldn't use the 'you could be slaughtered by a monster if you go out unprepared!!' reasoning. Thus, she'd had more time to wander around the Sub, and Edward had caught her eye whilst she'd gone past the canteen.

It was the pile of books that had drawn her in - with odd titles about 'alchemy' which she'd never encountered before. Before she noticed she'd crossed the room and was almost standing over Ed with her arms folded, he'd questioned her.

"Reading up on... 'alchemy'?" she guessed. "That sounds interesting."

“Come to lecture me about why skipping out on training sessions is a bad thing?” Ed asked as he lifted his gaze from his book once again before shrugging his shoulders carelessly. He doubted that was why she was here, she was speaking to him in too nice a tone for it to be about him missing any training sessions. He had found a goldmine in alchemy books and he fully intended to take advantage of the resources that were available to him. Besides in his defence studying alchemy to help improve his change power was training. “I found them whilst the party was going on,” he offered as he loosely gestured for her to sit down, dog-earing the page he was on before snapping the book shut. “It’s all pretty interesting stuff, some of the theories are pretty out there but I still think its interesting.”

Jenny half shrugged at his first comment before shaking her head. "Am I really that much of a slavedriver?" she said aloud (she wouldn't be surprised or offended if someone said she was - she knew she could be pretty demanding if she wanted to be), before she smiled and sat opposite him, almost hanging on to every single word he said.

"So.. is it theories on something you can use for... fighting?" she guessed, looking curious as she clasped her hands together.

(ooc: asdfghjkl; D: eljay is bad and eljay doesn't tell me things. Sorry about this, if you don't want to continue that's fine, if you do, I'm up for it. :D)

“Nah, it’d just make sense if you did start giving me a lecture since this is all so important,” Edward answered as he shrugged calmly. He was glad to not be receiving a lecture if perhaps a little surprised, from what he had heard Jenny was someone you didn’t want to mess with. “It really depends on what you transmute, if you have the right material at hand you could use alchemy to make some pretty decent weapons or even restrain people.” He explained, not wanting to go into too much detail. It was all about equivalent exchange and there was still a lot he had to learn.

(OOC: OK I totally fail, I've been so knackered from work I've been putting off responding ^_^; if you still want to continue I'm totally up for it :))
