In the meantime, Spike is narrowly beating Veronica Mars in winter_baby's 2009 FANDOM STEEL CAGE MATCH. Out of the eight semi-semi-finalists, only one of them is a woman. If Spike wins, the final four will be all white dudes.Does that seem right to you ( Read more... )

I...think the reasoning behind that is that BtVS was kind of a "teen" show. As in, most of the cast were teens...? Or maybe that he kind of acts like a teen. I mean, in the last round of the "teen" bracket, he beat out Lorelai Gilmore (sob!)

And I'd campaign for Booth, but I knew he never stood a chance against House. SIGH.

(Also: Aeryn, apparently, was knocked out in the first round. By Ten. By RATHER A WIDE MARGIN. I agree, I love Ten, but WTF? He is especially not twice as awesome as Aeryn!)

I find it hilarious that Veronica is up against Spike, since in my mind Logan = Spike in fannish terms. Gives me acid flashbacks to some late-season VM flamewars, it does.

God knows love Ten, but my heart broke a little when he won the match over Mal with FOUR LOUSY VOTES.

That was SUCH A HARD CHOICE, yo! In the end, I voted Mal, though. (Awhile back, my writer's group brainstormed a list of qualities that make a character likable. Eventually we realized that we had basically just written a description of Malcolm Reynolds.)

At the moment, the Barney Stinson-Jon Stewart race is just as tight!

Also, I like Veronica and Mal and Dean and Ten, but WTF AERYN SUN. No one is as awesome as Aeryn Sun!
