...or I did, anyway. Which left me pondering such vital issues as, if Luis Garcia were to be paired with Wayne Rooney, would the resulting ship be called “Loony”? And so forth. (My vote: yes.)

Which ones did you have in mind? :D We'll all have to pick some, and write drabbles.

Should have plenty of volunteers for Fabiolos and Non-Hairy and so forth. Not sure about some of the others.
