Date of Birth: September 22

Medical History: Andrew has no outstanding medical problems in his past, and has not been hospitalized until this point. He briefly saw a counselor after the death of his younger sister, but stopped seeing her after ten sessions.
Family History: Andrew and his younger sister, Michelle, were orphaned at a young age, when their parents, John and Patricia, were killed in an automobile accident. The pair had no other living relatives, so they were put into the foster care system. They were taken in by a foster family - the Kilbournes, Ted and Kathy. The Kilbournes had already previously taken in another boy Andrew's age, Stephen Archer. The three became very close, and there was talk of the Kilbournes adopting all three children. All three of them were happy and excited at this prospect.
However, these plans were cut short when an electrical fire burned down the Kilbournes' home. While Ted, Kathy, Andrew, and Stephen survived the fire, Michelle died of smoke inhalation en route to the hospital. The sudden loss stunned the entire family, particularly Andrew, who blamed himself for his sister's death. The four of them moved into a new house not long after the fire, but Andrew began to act out, becoming aggressive towards other students and towards his foster brother. The Kilbournes found a counselor, and after ten sessions, his behavior had improved enough that he stopped seeing the counselor.
As time went on, both Andrew and Stephen were accepted on scholarships to the prestigious Greycliff Academy, and began attending when they were in sixth grade. The boys settled into school life quite well. Andrew, being the more athletic of the two, began playing football and soccer, and Stephen also joined the soccer team, and in a surprise to everyone, the cooking club.
The years passed, and by the boys' third year at Greycliff, they were both doing well academically, had several good friends, and seemed to be just as close as they always were. However, at this point, Andrew decided to give up soccer in order to focus on football, and this caused some fighting between the two. Not long afterwards, Stephen began to spend more and more time with a rough crowd. They were still close, but they spent more and more time apart, Andrew focusing on sports, and Stephen missing classes in order to be with his new friends.
By their senior year, the two of them were on almost completely different paths. Stephen was barely passing his classes, while Andrew was near the top of his class, and being scouted by colleges for his athletic skills.
In October of that year, a tragedy occurred. Stephen was out late at night with a group of his friends, and a fight broke out between two of them. One of them pulled a gun on the other, and Stephen took the bullet meant for his friend. He died at the scene, and this second death has led to the current crisis.
Current Status: After Stephen's unexpected death, Andrew began acting out again, this time, violently. He began picking fights with his teammates, something he wouldn't have done before. One of these fights went further than usual; Andrew viciously attacked one boy, sending him to the hospital with a concussion and several broken bones. After discussion with the boy's parents, his foster parents came to an agreement: they would send Andrew for treatment and pay for the victim's medical expenses, and in return, they wouldn't press charges. At this point, Andrew was admitted to Landel's Institute.
