not to get all emo on you, but...

to hear from a friend is never a waste.

I knew (briefly) the DC bike officer who died this past week during a training exercise...friends will always be worth hearing from :)

one thing that really hit home with everyone that knew him was that they didn't spend nearly as much time with him as they had wanted to...so really when you have that urge to stay in and do nothing, go visit a friend you haven't seen in a while :)
