APPEARANCE → Bringing new meaning to the phrase “deathly pale”, Ulquiorra’s skin is clear and smooth to the touch, but a sickly, pallid grey in color. His green eyes are a stark contrast to the ghostly white. As bright as they are, they usually appear incredibly dull, seeming so lifeless at times that it’s almost as if light forgets to reflect in them, and perhaps they’re more chilling that way. His normal expression is almost ridiculously sad and unfortunately, it seems to have stuck. He has dark eyebrows that are drawn in a low despairing line, shadowing his eyes like a second pair of lids. If that weren’t enough, he has twin facial markings, a set of thin cyan lines that stream from his eyes and down his cheeks like a tear trail.
His hair is jet black, chin length with layered bangs that frame his face and drip down at its’ center, not obstructing, but parting to fan out on either side at the bridge of his nose. The remains of his hollow mask lie on the left side of his head. Without the single horn garnish, it strangely resembles a samurai helmet. The bone extends halfway down his forehead and curves in a bit at his left cheek just an inch below his eye.
Ulquiorra is of a slight build, not particularly tall, almost frail in his slenderness, his size betraying the true nature of his strength, but beneath the pristine white of his arrancar robes is a compact body of tight muscle that can take plenty of punishment. His Espada rank is tattooed on the left side of his chest; a big, bold, black number 4 where his heart should be. His hollow hole is located at the base of his throat and is usually covered up by his high collared jacket that zips up to his chin. The sleeves are long, but wanting enough to expose narrow wrists. His hands are small, skeletal, with slim fingers that just so happen to be dipped in black nail polish. If he uses beauty products, he’s probably not telling-which is a shame because his liquid eyeliner is top notch.
PERSONALITY → Generally impassive to the point of perpetuating constant disinterest, Ulquiorra is stoic in a way that is almost alarming. He is intensely observant, not one to miss important details, and the type whose mind is always "on". He is able to make accurate, logic-based deductions, as shown in his analysis of both Ichigo Kurosaki and Orihime Inoue's powers, as well as make informed predictions based upon his own intellect and know-how.
Ulquiorra can see beyond what is, but denies that which cannot be seen and openly expresses his aversion toward whimsical imaginings. He knows how the mind works and is rather efficient at breaking down the psychological defenses of others. Through subtle gestures of false compassion, he attempts to lure Orihime willingly into the arms of the enemy, and with easy instigating, he goads Ichigo into a battle he will lose.
All straightforwardness and sensibility, he doesn't believe in telling lies to preserve the emotional integrity of another person, bluntly truthful to the point of cruelty. Anyone that doesn't meet Ulquiorra's standards is instantly classified as trash and will have a hard time convincing him otherwise. He has a way of putting people in their place simply, quickly, and casually. His philosophy is that of eliminating the unnecessary. Ulquiorra does not entertain unnecessary chatter, unnecessary actions, or unnecessary battles, the latter creating a great deal of tension between himself and a certain Espada number six.
He is unwaveringly loyal to Aizen and equally unwilling to let anything, or anyone, deter him from his duties. It is only when Grimmjow threatens his responsibilities in safeguarding Orihime that Ulquiorra faces him in battle. Dangerous, effective and entirely obedient, he doesn’t even care if he is ultimately dispensable so long as he can advance Aizen’s plans. On a similar front, Aizen seems to place a lot of faith in Ulquiorra's judgment and has recently left him in charge of Las Noches.
STRENGTHS → Descended from the highest class of menos, vasto lorde, Ulquiorra’s strength exceeded that of a captain class shinigami even before his rebirth as an arrancar. Retaining his hollow abilities, Ulquiorra now has the increased strength of a shinigami and the spiritual power to match. He engages battle with confidence, finesse, and general unconcern, rarely having to go beyond the lifting of a single hand to bring an end to confrontation. Due to the virtually indestructible skin specific to arrancar, he is able to block blows, blades, and even Ichigo’s Getsuga Tenshou barehanded.
He is highly intuitive, his perquisa honed to such efficacy that he becomes annoyed with Yammy’s lack of skill with a talent that should come natural. Solidifying his spirit pressure, Ulquiorra can fire bala blasts and the more powerful cero blasts at will, as well as move at great speeds for short distances through a technique known as sonido-the equivalent to a shinigami’s shunpo. Additionally, Ulquiorra has the unique ability to remove his left eye and crush it into sparkling dust that circulates around his targets, through which they can see all that he has witnessed, as well as his thoughts and commentary on said events. The eye regenerates on its’ own after a short period of time.
While Ulquiorra really isn’t one to pick a fight, it is reasonably unwise to try picking one with him. Able to tear through flesh and bone with his fingertips, not unlike a knife through butter, the average mortal simply doesn’t stand a chance. Then again, the not-so-average mortal is probably in for a rude awakening, too. It is rare that Ulquiorra draws his blade in battle, so when he does, it means business. Unsurprisingly, his released hollow form has yet to be seen, but one can only assume the worst.
WEAKNESSES → Ranked fourth in Aizen’s army, it is an implicit fact that Ulquiorra can be defeated by some, if not very few. He even notes himself that at the peak of his fluctuating spiritual pressure, Ichigo’s power is actually greater than his own. Although Ichigo fails to wound him, he does force Ulquiorra to take him more seriously, and even manages to flare his interests a bit with his vain display of strength.
Beyond matters of physicality, Ulquiorra’s most obvious weakness seems to lie in his dismissive nature that may occasionally lead to undue surprise. Despite sharp intuition, even he has a tendency to underestimate a potential threat, and Ulquiorra has been on the receiving end of a backlash created by his own certainty on at least two occasions.
Now that he’s in Nuadoria, Ulquiorra will be experiencing additional issues, probably starting with that magic eye of his. Should he have reason to remove it, it will not regenerate in the timely manner that it normally does, perhaps taking up to a month to rematerialize. Additionally, his power to translate what he’s witnessed to others will be dampened so that there may be misunderstandings where things were always crystal clear.
