I bought cds today! Plans by Death Cab, The Decemberists' Picaresque as well as some Sigur Rós. Takk and (). Takk was $32! Seriously overpriced but eh, I wasn't going to get the special edition cheaper anywhere else. Besides, I hadn't bought cds in ages and was getting a little bored. Hopefully, you are friends with someone lovely and intuitive who will know to get you Plans anyway ;) I never encourage people to buy me cds for Christmas though. That's how I ended up with two Britney cds. Ahhh.

And oooh.. you should come see Sigur Ros with me! I mean, you know.. you could swim here! The water in the pacific is fine ;) Re: their performance. They really do seem like one of those bands that would put on a killer show. I'd also love to see the Arcade Fire.

And as for the best friend, yeah :/ Distance is one of the worst things that can happen to any sort of friendship or relationship, I think. She wants us to talk less because we argue a fair bit these days, and we do that because we're so far away from each other. I don't trust people to buy me CDs either, unless I've made a list of the ones I want, like I do for my mother aka Santa Claus. My best friend says she bought me two cds that she thinks I will luck, and I am very, very afraid of what they are. She doesn't have great taste in music.

I would swim to Australia to see Sigur Ros if only I could swim... =(

And I will most definitely brainwash your friend in exchange for Colin Meloy! He can sing to me whenever I please, and that would be top notch. You're right, though. Distance is terrible. I will slay it!

I give my mum for cd lists but she never buys anything on them. She either can't find them here or can't pronounce them (e.g. Devendra Banhart) :P I remember you telling me about your friend! Heh, I hope the cds aren't as bad as Britney or.. like.. I don't know, insane clown posse? That would be pretty tragic ;) Make sure you mention what they are! Oh, also, will you have internet while you're gone? (I don't even know if you'll see this before leaving.. you leave today/tomorrow, yes?)

Oh, that's right.. you can't swim :( well, you know.. They won't be playing until April! That's plenty of time to learn ;)

You should be online. I am so so bored and the only person online is some kid I went to school with. All he talks about is his boring girlfriend (who I also went to school with & happen to dislike intensely). You are a hundred times more interesting.
