Name: River Tam.
Canon: Firefly & Serenity.
Age: 17.
Height: 5'6.5"
Weight: 90lb approx.
Medical Info: Human, with the rudiments of futuristic scientific study in her system; scars, chemicals etc. She is missing her amygdala, the part of her brain which filters what she feels. On a good day, River is like any other talented and intelligent young woman. On a normal day, she has a vagueness about her an even the rudiments of psychiatry would tell you she isn't all there. On a bad day, River finds it difficult to control herself or communicate clearly, often breaking down inexplicably.
Eyes: Brown.
Hair: Long, wavy, messy & brown.
Physical traits: River is graceful from years of dancing, and there's strength in her skinny little arms. She normally wears a dress and boots, and she often displays autistic body language and arm movements, refusing to meet your eyes or holding them uncomfortably long. She has minor scalp scarring from operations on her brain and faded needle tracks from her medications.
What's Okay To Mention Around Her: Anything. River is her own source of meta/canon-puncturing. Bringing up Blue Sun, Simon, or other triggery aspects of her past may cause disruption, but I won't mind playing it out.
Abilities: Kickass - see "Fighting:". River has also shown an aptitude for extraordinary assimilation of knowledge and data recall, empathy, and even what appears to be some form of psychic "reading" ability. She is incredibly intelligent, especially when it comes to science, and she loves to dance.
Notes for the Psychics: River is psychic, but schizophrenic enough that she finds it difficult to communicate clearly a lot of what she knows. Psychics will read a very clever mind warped by physical and mental experiments, but River may be aware they're reading her, or there may be some kind of feedback loop. Ping me.
Hugging/kissing/other non-violent contact: She'd prefer not, so unless you know her really well she may flinch, avoid it all together, or reflexively hit you.
Fighting: River has been trained to be a government assassin; she fights with a combination of kung fu, kickboxing and improvisation. She is an expert in guns, swords and a variety of melee objects. She can predict moves people will make before she makes them, and sense where they are even if she can't see them. Her fighting is more like a deadly dance. BUT. River wont start fights unless someone triggers her brainwashing and she loses control, which is very unlikely, or unless someone she dearly cares for is endangered.

Maim/Murder/Death: I'd prefer she not die casually. But she's not immortal or anything, so ping me.
Cooking: She probably knows how somewhere in that head of hers, but I doubt she could stay lucid enough to cook a full meal.
