This is beautiful, dear! I love your personal posts, and I love how you convey a sense of longing and feeling lost in this, as well as the metaphor of the game. It works beautifully with drjeff's entry, too! And oh, I can imagine the heartache of that relationship and that period of your life. We do the best we can as we know how. ♥

Thanks so much; this was a weird piece to write because I tend to draw a screen around that part of my life. This time the story seemed to want to be told, so it (sorta) got told.

Beautifully, beautifully written. You do such a great job with this piece and with the intersection as a whole! Nicely done!

Oh great intersection! This reminds me of my grandmother who taught me to play all kinds of awesome card games.

Card games are so very wonderful--I'm hoping to teach my little one some good ones! Thanks!

Another wonderful, quiet, intense piece. Well written with excellent flow, and by God do I love your voice.

I love this intersection! There's something entrancingly subtle about the way you both weave stories together like ribbons floating from the past to the future and encompassing all our separate lives. And of course your own skill shines in every word you craft.
