Memories flooded Artemis' mind as he stared through the open door.
"May I come in?" his visitor asked, her hazel eyes scrutinizing him as she waited.
"Of course," he answered quickly, ushering his short guest into Fowl Manor. "It's been a long time, Holly."
She nodded her assent, casting reflective glances about the house that had once served as her prison. She reached out a hand to touch a nearby painting. Artemis' eye caught a small, familiar scar on her finger.
"How does your finger feel?" he asked, a smirk on his face.
"You want to come here and find out?"
