Notes: A monologue, as per usual, but from a different standpoint. Sorry it's taken me so long to write, I've been blocked.
Now that was unfair. She didn’t understand what had happened at all. Snot-nosed? He wasn’t. He had age beyond his years - and he had inside help. But she didn’t understand that. Yes, to be bested by anyone was embarrassing. To be bested by someone so young, at first glance, could be more so. But I’d never faced anyone like him. This recent operation had been an education - do not go near him again. But she just thought he was a snot-nosed kid, and I’ll never find work again.
I’ll go into hiding in England instead. I won’t be found there.
