Leaving Florida...

Well, after a night of pain-from-hell, some soul searching, and talking over things with my family and so forth, I have decided that health *must* come first. I shouldn't suffer like I am and expect to get very far. So... we're in the process of moving me back to Tulsa where I had good medical insurance and prospects for jobs. I just found out that I need to live in Oklahoma for 12 months before they'll accept me into the program again. Blah, blah, blah! :( Well... at least they don't kick you out after 18 months!

That sucks... but I will point out, 18 months could be enough time to finish your master's and get a full time job where your employer will provide your health insurance. That would solve your immediate problem, and give you time to plan your next move, be it gap medical coverage in Oklahoma, flight school in a medically friendlier state, or working and doing your CFI on weekends at your location of choice.

Fred, I'm so proud of the way you are handling this. I wish you luck and love and honor and skill in getting yourself moved. I think this is a very positive step, and I'm really happy to know that you can make arrangements to finish the Master's, too. That had been the only thing I'd worried about, that you'd lose the progress you'd made there.

true! I'm glad that you want to take care of yourself. It really should come first. I hope it all works out with the degree and the teaching and the healthcare and everything!

Dude we will be down there to get you and bring you back to us In good old Oklahoma, contery to cali. beleves OK is not a bad place to live and I know TCC is needing teachers in the physics classes and sence you have your bachlors you can teach fulltime and i think they may provide health insurance for full time teachers.
