Thinking about Travel Lenses

That's my thinking and honestly, I prefer the sound of Latin American Spanish to Continental Spanish - there is just something a little bit weird with an entire country that affects a lisp. Just saying.

If you're not into changing lenses on the fly, that may not change even if you have the right lenses in your bag ( ... )

I agree totally that you can be too careful with perfect environment to change lenses, but when you're out hiking away from vehicles for extended periods of time it does become more of a challenge, for what I can physically carry and also lots of things happen on the fly that I miss because I don't have the right lens on.

Good thought on the back-up body. I may invest in one of those eventually, but again it becomes a weight/encumbrance issue too. Hiking 8-10 miles with a 5lb pack vs a 15lb pack makes a huge difference

Completely agree on your weight issues when hiking. Was referring to the worry about changing lenses and getting dirt in... unless it's windy, you should be fine on that front...
