‘Happy Birthday, Donghae’ he thought entering the dorm. Silence. Nobody there. They all had schedules. He sighted as he sat on the couch tiredly. He felt so lonely. It was already 10 pm. Nobody called him to wish him a happy birthday, except for his mother. He switched on the TV and saw the other members on an interview on Mnet. He watched the screen blankly, his mind wandering at a special person that was now at the studio with his hyung.

Click. The door opened and a man entered carefully. He left his shoes and backpack at the entrance while moving to the living room where he found a fish sleeping on the couch. He leaned closer and gave him a peek on the cheek. The other just mumbled something incoherent and went back to dream land.

He heard something moving in the dorm. He opened his eyes to see which member got back from his schedule. He walked around the living room but didn’t see anybody so he sighted loudly
“Alone…on my birthday” He said with a sad tone, going back to the couch. Again he heard a movement in the kitchen. He went to check. A note was on the table. ‘This wasn’t here when I got home’ he thought as he opened it.

Remember when we first met on the SM building? When Junsu and I pranked you and you cried? Remember when I first confessed to you? Remember when we sat on the rooftop smiling at each other? Tears started falling on his cheeks. He read the letter once, twice, he even read it the third time. He walked slowly to their room, not letting go of the letter. He opened the door and his jaw dropped. There were rose petals everywhere. On the bed there was a monkey and a fish and another letter on top.

Turn around.
He slowly turned around and saw Eunhyuk on the doorframe with a strawberry cake.
“Happy birthday, Hae” Eunhyuk said smiling at him. He was about to jump on Eunhyuk when he suddenly remembered about the cake.
They ate the cake talking about random stuff before Donghae asked him.
“Why did you do all this?” he asked looking into his eyes.
“What do you mean? You don’t like it?” Eunhyuk asked worried. After all, he prepared this for almost a month. Everybody knew about his plan and they even helped him not talking to Donghae.
“Anyeo…I mean…” He started but couldn’t find the right words.
“Because I wanted to make it special for you. Just as special as you are for me. I want you to be happy.” Eunhyuk answered sincere and placed a soft kiss on his lips.
Donghae smiled happily. It was special. He was happy. Everything was perfect. Maybe too perfect that he felt it was only a dream.
“Am I dreaming?” he asked himself while pinching his arm.
Eunhyuk sighted laughing at the sight in front of him. He didn’t change. He still was that little kid that was waiting for someone to play with him. But that’s why he loved him so much.
As Donghae was busy finding out if it was a dream, Eunhyuk took that as an opportunity and searched for something in his pocket. When he found it he got up and placed himself in front of the other one.
Donghae was startled of the sudden movement looking surprised at Eunhyuk. He sat on his left leg in front of Donghae and moved his hand to his face. He dropped a necklace asking
“Lee Donghae, will you accept spending your life with me? Now and forever.” Eunhyuk asked looking into Donghae’s eyes.
His eyes widened. He couldn’t believe what he just heard. Suddenly a smile formed on his face as he got up helping Eunhyuk up too.
Eunhyuk just looked surprised at him. ‘Did he refuse me?’ he asked himself as a sad smile made his way to his face.
“Yah..what’s with that face? I do…always and forever. Just like the first time” Donghae said as he hugged Eunhyuk tightly before moving into a deep and passionate kiss.
“Yeeeyy” voices were heard from outside the room. Somebody listened to them. As soon as they opened the door 10 members fell on the ground yelling at each other to move out of the way. They all looked up and smiled at the couple.
“Saengil chukha hamnida” they all sang in unison as they hugged the 2 lovers.

“I’ll tell this to my children.” he said happy, playing with the necklace while looking at the other male. The ladder was really immersed into the sunset that he didn’t hear the other talk to him.
“What did you say?” he asked confused.
“Ah…never mind.” He gave up on the subject and returned his attention to the sunset.
“Hyukkie?”
“Hmm..”
“Do extra-terrestrial love?”
