first trip to ikea

today i went to ikea for the first time ever. can i just say that this ain't the scandanavian peninsula so you don't have to blast the damn heat!! it was 80 degrees in there! not only that but who designed a store that you have to follow the frickin' maze to get to an exit ( Read more... )

It's so you pick thing up on the way to the exit that you probably wouldn't if you had a clear way to get to the checkout.

Besides Tosc will tell you, I break the rules, I don't buy anything, four of us went when she was over here and she was the only one that bought anything!

genius except for people like me that just want one thing and to get out of there as quickly as possible and not shuffle behind a bunch of idiots that don't know what to buy and are walking aimlessly through the maze!

if i had a horn i would've honked it at them!! lol

They do have great throwaway furniture. So much of it does fall apart if you try to move it a few years later. And the more solid stuff is often very awkward to move after assembly if you live in a place with tight stairwells and doors.

I'm guessing that they've got the temperature set for women since that's their target buying audience. Women tend to prefer higher temperatures than do men.

Also, the higher temperature should slow people down even more and keep them in the maze even longer.
