I agree the bridge barrier was a comical waste of money. A little extra climbing never killed anyone, did it? ... wait.. maybe this time it does. ;) When I was in Belltown a couple months ago, I was coming out of a business on 1st ave, and the nightclub 'Amber' was across the street. If memory serves, there are some low-key apartment buildings built above it or in a near neighbor building, and the "cleanup after the fact" truck was parked outside with men in biohazard costumery removing some furniture which was equally wrapped either for evidence or death residue containment.
I went past the Morrison the other day. It looked like it had gone up a notch in pretending to not be what it is, and all of that. I was mortified. It's our favorite hive of scum and villiany! This is no time for dress-up! Hrmph!
