I still live

Moved. Sitting in new house, listening to trains go by while the cats radiate Shock, Betrayal and Heartbreak through the walls at me.

It has to be through the walls, because they're nowhere to be seen.

More later.

I'm sorry, sweetie. I will miss you, if not Durham. :) We should be back in October for the State Fair if you want to visit. Things went crazy about the time I was going to e-mail you, and after that I was frantically scrabbling to try and keep ahead of deadlines.

I want trains to go by right by my house. ;.;

Also, poor kitties.

The trains are pretty awesome...one woke me up last night, but I don't think it'll take me long to get used to them. And I'm having great fun watching my daughter jump up and down on the porch in glee every time one passes

I have two cats, known for excellent reasons as Fat Cat and Flat Cat. Flat was prowling the house and cheeping mournfully last night, but has condescended to accept cuddles tonight. Fat runs about 36 hours slower, so I'm expecting relative normalcy soon.

What line are you by? Just a railfan's insatiable curiosity.

Hah, My gecko was like that when we moved. Even though she was in the same tank with the same stuff she sulked for weeks.

After way too much time, because I Do Not Speak Railroad Fluently, I have discovered it's the Norfolk/Southern Line through Concord, and also Amtrak to Raleigh/Durham, which will be handy if I ever reach a point where I can tolerate Durham again. :D We get lots of freight trains through here, usually 3 to 5 engines on a train. Husband Unit loves to watch them but gets nervous at the amount of biohazard placards he spots...
